Have you ever tried to explain the intricacies of the priesthood in terms that a kid could understand? Heck...could you do it succinctly enough that ANYONE could understand, while keeping it short enough to fit on a pretty little IG square😂🤷🏼♀️? I've legit been dreading this week's weird words because every time I sat down to finalize the definitions I. WAS. STUMPED. 🤦🏼♀️ Seriously, every term I attempted to define seemed to unload into another equally as mysterious word yet to be explained, and even still I feel like I'm barely scratching the surface. So, to keep things as simple as possible, I focused this week’s weird words on Alma ch. 13 and the priesthood in general. You'll have to fend for yourself for chapters 14-16🤪🤷🏼♀️. I followed the Grinch's method of puzzling and puzzling and puzzling some more, and this is what I came up with. Any additional insights?

Priesthood - The name of God’s power.
Priesthood Keys - The ability to direct how the priesthood is used. Only the prophet has the ability to use all of the keys of the priesthood, but he gives some keys to people who have callings as leaders in the church to help him keep everything organized.
Priesthood Office - Describes the different levels of responsibility and ability to perform specific ordinances within the priesthood.
Priesthood Authority - The ability to use the priesthood. Having priesthood authority means that you are using the priesthood in the correct order, time, and place, as directed by a person who has priesthood keys. A person must be following God’s commandments to be able to use priesthood authority.
Ordained - When a man is given a specific priesthood office and the accompanying authority to use the priesthood.
Ordinances - Specific actions and words done exactly the same way every time by a person with priesthood authority that helps members of the church make promises to God.
